Raymond Cahow built this business the old-fashioned way. He didn’t sell paving; he built relationships. While Ray remains active in the business to this day, his daughter, Linda Cahow, is now president of Asphalt General. Community projects such as schools, churches, community streets, and parking areas are still an important part of the business. But today, Linda spends even more time managing large and small commercial, industrial, and government jobs. According to Linda, “No matter how large we grow, we will never lose sight of the basic principles my Dad established in the early years when he was able to look every client right in the eye, promise superior workmanship for a fair price, and deliver every time out.”
